Peter
Bashford - Whitstable based Artist Peter works from a spacious complex of studios in the idylic and bucolic grounds of his house just outside Whitstable. (Map & Directions here>>) A prolific painter Peter has many framed paintings in a variety of styles for sale. Samples of his work can be seen in the Gallery Section of this web site and the studio is open most days for visitors to drop in and view the work on show. Just call +44 (0)1227-272746 if you'd like to visit. Peter also takes commissions for landscapes, buildings and portraits of loved ones and pets. A Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers and holder of the National Diploma in Art & Design, Peter gives lessons on traditional watercolor painting in his studio both for beginners and experienced artists. During the lessons Peter talks about twelve aspects starting with the importance of dramatic lighting to lines and colour that evoke emotion. Payment is asked for in advance for six three hour sessions. All materials are provided and each person has an individual desk fully equipped. Life drawing lessons will be available from time to time on request. Some Saturday workshops will be held for floral painting. |
